I took Jane’s advice this week and have been playing with Diigo to find out how I could utilize it better. Needless to say I am starting to see the functionality of this. I added two friends (Jane and a co-worker), I finally learned how to highlight and use the sticky notes without my stuff disappearing into oblivion and used the read later feature. I am creating new lists to organize my materials better especially all of the links I find for my history courses. I have always just booked marked these on my laptop, the issue being that I do not then have access to them in other places. I also see that this can really be useful with colleagues sharing links for curriculum. You can post it note ideas for how the sites can be used and share these as well. This is my next portion of play. I would like to share with my colleague and use the sticky note feature to share ideas and ways we can use the items involved. The bottom line is thank you for suggesting this as this week’s play. It was extremely useful!

You’re welcome!
Katie,
I have to admit that I decided to read your post because your title drew me in. While I basically understand how to use Diigo, it hasn’t really clicked for me yet, in terms of being a useful tool. Thanks for sharing your learning experience with it. I think I need to “play” with it this week, too.
